Walking around the Puig

Today we received an e-mail of Manuela, Anja and Lenny who wanted to thank us for the great time they had here at the Costa Blanca. Thanks a lot, we really enjoyed reading your e-mail.

“Walking around the Puig

Now I’m sitting in the grey Germany and looking at the photos of my last vacation in Spain. It was actually around a year ago when my sister, my son and me soaked up some sun in Spain’s Costa Blanca.

It was a wonderful holiday, not at all boring and one of the highlights was definitely the walk around the Puig Campana with Costa Vertical.

Kristina had not promised us too much: the walk was beautiful and, nevertheless, for not experienced walkers possible.

The tour offered spectacular views inland, towards the coast and, of course, towards the Puig Campana itself. After the walk we stopped at the Restaurant “Font del Moli”. That was a relaxed finish for the walk which took us around 5 hours. That’s for me a perfect day out.

What I really enjoyed was the magnificent and ever changing views during the walk. The walk leads you via small paths, broad forest paths and rocky trails, through forests and macchia (secondary shrub vegetation), through a landscape where a forest fire has passed over the flanks of the Puig Campana, and in the end through an urbanization which leads back to the start of the walk.

The walk is definitely suitable during all seasons. You can walk the whole time either in the shade or in the sun, it just depends how clever you chose the route.

Thanks to Kristina we managed the walk without being bothered by the heat. Thanks again for that.

Kind regards,

Lennart, Anja and Michaela”
