The start of the year was great so I decided to do a nice walk from our Sella base through the Buddhist valley and up to Sanxet, while Tony went climbing to the “Wildside” with friends.<\/p>\n
I left our office at Tony’s place by noon and started the walk towards the “Pas de Goler\u00f3”. From there you’ve got nice views into the “Wildside”, one of the most famous crags of the climbing area in Sella with routes starting from 6c+ up to 9a. Where the path hit the unpaved road I turned left to walk up through the Buddhist valley to the “Heliport” and from there towards the “Mas de Carrasca”. Just before you get to the “Mas de Carrasca” you’ve got splendid views towards the “Castellets Ridge”, “Puig Campana”, “Divino”, “Barranco el Charquer” and “Cabez\u00f3n de Oro” in the distance.<\/p>\n
Before I arrived at the “Mas de Carrasca” I followed the unmarked path up to a saddle and after a short, but exposed scramble I was on top of the “Sanxet”. The “Sanxet” is with 1.186 meters even higher than the neighbored Ponoch. I enjoyed the tranquility of this place and the great views, but after a short time I started with my descent towards the “Mas de Carrasca”. From there a quick walk brought me back to “La Moleta”.<\/p>\n
I really enjoyed my day out as I got to know another beautiful place at Costa Blanca’s back country.<\/p>\n
